WHATS HAPPENING ?

AERATION IS COMPLETE AND HEALING NICELY!!
Although this is very disruptive, it is essential to our green’s health. This summer when you are putting on a healthy smooth stand of turf, please remember aeration plays a huge role in this. We pull a core and replace with sand. This reduces compaction, removes thatch, increased drainage and allows roots and shoots to breath. Unfortunately we sacrifice the playability of our greens for several weeks in a season but it is a small price to pay for quality, healthy putting surfaces all season long. Why do we aerate greens when they are at their best? Please copy and paste the link below into your web browser.

- The Fairways and Rough are being fertilized. Watch them pop in the weeks to follow. Our goal is always plant health and preperation for the summer heat.

FOR YOUR INFORMATION

- Many of you have noticed the white stakes around the golf course. These are locations of trees we are planting the next few weeks. We have purchased 30 trees and have two different varieties. Both types are quick to establish, pest and disease resistant and will grow to be about 60 feet tall. Every year we intend on adding trees and ornamental and coniferous trees will soon follow.

 - Please fill your divots. If larger then the palm of your hand please replace. If not please fill with divot mix and level smooth with your foot with existing turf. Any divot mix left on the surface will dull up our mowers and lead to poor turf conditions. Divot mix is located in boxes on holes 3,5,8,11,14.

- Please give us time and space. Unfortunately, the golf course does not maintain itself and you will find us around just about every corner. My staff have been instructed to keep an eye out for you and we will get out of your way as soon as we can. If in doubt please wait until you have eye contact or have been waved ahead before shooting.
