Brooks is originally from the Lower Mainland and moved to the Okanagan in the early 90’s. For a golf pro, he got a relatively late start in golf at 13 years old. Brooks played his junior golf at the Spallumcheen Golf & Country Club where he was a 3 time Jr. Club Champion. He began his career in the golf industry working in the back shop at Spallumcheen in 2001. In 2003, he was hired to work as a valet at Predator Ridge. After graduating from the Professional Golf Management program at Camosun College in the spring of 2005 he turned professional. Brooks worked at Predator Ridge from 2003-2010 in a wide variety of roles. Brooks has competed in numerous events around the area. His best finish came at the 2007 Mable Lake Shootout beating Shannon Glenesk on the last hole to win the event.

Joanne Shaw started working for the Vernon Golf & Country Club in 1983. Her high school business teacher, Mrs. Barbara Silvester, recommended she set up a job interview with the General Manager. While born and raised in Vernon, she moved to the community of Falkland in 1992. She enjoys time with her family and friends and the occasional round of golf.

Bradlee was born and grew up in Vernon; however started playing golf in Nelson where his neighbours gave him a range mat so he could smack balls into the lake at his family’s summer property. He later became a junior member at the Granite Pointe Golf Club in Nelson where he was a junior club champion. In 2011 after being a junior member at the Vernon Golf and Country Club for a couple of seasons Bradlee started working in the back shop at the club, where he was later promoted to the golf shop. While playing junior golf and being a competitive junior golfer, playing in many BC Juveniles, BC Juniors and BC Amateurs Bradlee developed a passion for the game of golf and knew working in the golf industry was where he wanted to be. In the spring of 2013 after completing his first year of Business Administration at Okanagan College and competing in the 2012 Canadian Amateur Bradlee turned professional and became an Assistant Professional here at the club.

Keith comes to the Vernon Golf and Country Club after more then 25 years at the Hillview Golf Course. Keith got his start in Golf Business in 1988 when we left CIBC securities and investments to take a Job as an Assistant Professional at the Riverside Course at Fairmont Hot Springs. Keith spent 3 years in Fairmont before being recruited to join the Elks Club in Calgary. Keith joined Jim Atmore and Ken Wadsworth at Hillview in 1993 where he spent the last 25 years refining his Teaching Skills as Head Professional. A forever student of the game Keith continually seeks out information on teaching techniques and styles to improve his ability to help his students play better and enjoy the game more. Having won many events Hi-lights would include a course record 64 during the Revelstoke Men’s Pro-Am and 65 at Predator Ridge to win one of the Telus Skins Game Pro-Am’s as well as a 2-time winner of the Interior Tour Match Play.

Lynn McKay helped out in the fall of 2009 and joined the Vernon Golf & Country Club in the spring of 2010. She brings with her over 20 years of banking knowledge and many years of customer service. Lynn is excited to learn all the aspects of the golfing industry and looks forward to meeting the members. Lynn was born and raised here in Vernon and has lived here all her life. In her spare time she likes to play volleyball, read and spend time with her family.
